An Albino Dolphin

Recently, a rare pink bottlenose dolphin was found in America. It was spotted swimming in a lake in Louisiana. It was pictured by a boat captain named Erik Rue last week. It is thought to be the world’s only pink bottlenose dolphin. The dolphin is entirely pink from tip to tail. Its eyes are also pink!

“I just happened to see a little pod of dolphins, and I noticed one that was a little lighter. It was actually pink,” said Captain Rue. “I had never seen anything like it. It’s pink in color throughout the whole body.
It looks like it just came out of a paint booth. The dolphin looked healthy and normal other than its coloration, which is so beautiful. I feel very lucky to have seen this beautiful animal.”

Many scientists were very surprised to see the pictures of the pink dolphin. “The dolphin is truly beautiful. I have never seen a dolphin colored in this way in all my career,” said biologist Regina Asmutis-Silvia. According to her, the dolphin is an albino. A person or animal with albinism has white skin, white hair and pink eyes.

New Bank Note In South Korea

Recently, the Bank of Korea (BOK) revealed a sample of the new 50,000 won bank note to the public. On the new bill, there is a picture of Shin Saimdang (1504-1551). She is one of the most famous female characters in Korean history.
Shin Saimdang is well-known as a wise mother and good wife. That’s why she was picked as the first woman to be printed on a Korean note. She was the famous artist in the Joseon Dynasty. She was also the mother of a great scholar named Yulgok. His image is on the 5,000 won bill.

The size of the new bill will be longer than the 10,000 won bill. The color of the bill is golden yellow. Shin Saimdang’s face and her famous paintings are drawn on the front of the bill. The other side of the bill is decorated with two artworks from mid-Joseon. The new 50,000 won bill will be used from June. It is going to be the bill with the highest unit value.
And it is around 1,700 in Philippine peso.

Kim Sun-ok of South Korea

A Unique Record Set

Without a doubt, there are many unique or perhaps out of this world records in the Guinness Book of World Records. From the longest beard to the most hot dogs eaten in an hour, people across the globe are doing the weirdest things to set a new record. So, how does this sound? A Korean housewife recently set the record for longest singing by an individual.

How many hours do you think you can sing without a stop? In my case, I would be out of breath after a couple of songs. Well, this 54-year-old lady sang for nearly 76 hours. Kim Sun-ok shattered the 75-hour Guinness World Record held by Marcus Lapratt of America. To be exact, Kim sang for 76 hours, seven minutes and one second. Although the record may sound very obscene, it is quite remarkable.
The record simply speaks for itself. She must have endured great physical demands to pull off this kind of stunt. Think about it. She didn’t sleep for a little more than 3 days. Well, of course she was given 30-second breaks in between songs and five-minute breaks every hour. And yes, she sustained herself by eating simple foods like bananas and tangerines.
However, it must have been pretty difficult to sing more than 1200 songs. The funny thing is that she finished her singing only after officials and family members stopped her because they were worried about her health.
Ok, so we can see from her accomplishment that she knows a lot of songs. What got me curious was why she went through with this?

According to Kim, she sang for so long to test herself and show a challenging spirit in a time of economic hardship. The Korea Record Institute announced it will submit a video tape of Kim to Guinness so that she will be recognized as the new record-holder in the singing marathon category. Great work Kim!

Americans Love Eating Kimchi, Too!

Kimchi is a traditional Korean food. Here in Korea, we eat it almost every day. Kimchi is very good for your health. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber. And of course, it tastes really good! Surprisingly, Kimchi is very popular in LA these days!

Recently, a Korean-American cook developed a new dish with Kimchi. His name is Roy Choi. He lives in LA. As a Korean, he wanted to make Korean food popular in America. So he decided to make a taco with Kimchi! A taco is a popular Mexican pancake. Tacos are usually filled with meat, vegetables, and a spicy sauce.

When people tasted Mr. Choi’s Kimchi taco, they said, “Kimchi tacos are very delicious!” It is very delicious but costs only 2 dollars. Now it has become very famous. Many people wait in a long line to buy it. Sometimes the line is very long. So people have to wait more than an hour! Don’t you want to try it? I do!

Seoul to be Improved

On February 26, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced two plans to improve our capital. How will the city be changed? Keep reading!
First, it plans to introduce low-floor buses. These buses will allow the disabled in wheelchairs to get on the bus more easily. Currently, low-floor buses account for only 10.4 percent of the total buses in Seoul. In order to increase the number of these convenient buses, the city will spend 532.2 billion won by 2012.

So, what is the second plan? Seoul City’s night view will become more beautiful! From now on, all of the 24 bridges over the Han River will be lit up at night. Each bridge will have a different lighting style and color. It will make Seoul more beautiful! The city government is using special energy-saving bulbs to reduce power-consumption.
“The new night view is expected to promote a more beautiful image of Seoul all over the world,” one official said. So, how do you feel about the new Seoul.

World’s First Flying Car to Debut

We often see flying cars in movies. But soon, you will be able to see them in real life, too! Yes, flying cars are not imagination anymore! Recently, NASA scientists invented a flying car. According to The Sunday Times, the scientists will test drive the car next month. If the car works successfully, it will be introduced for use by the general public in 18 months! Isn’t it amazing?
The flying car can transform itself from a sporty car into a personal airplane. How long do you think it will take? Don’t be surprised. It only takes 15 seconds for the transformation! You may think the car is very different from ordinary cars. Well, it is a very special car, but it uses regular gasoline. With the wings folded, the car is just the size of a normal car. So it can be parked in the garage.

So, how fast is the car? The car will fly up to 185 km/h in the air. On the ground, it has only been tested at speeds up to 145 km/h. I’m sure you want to have one, too. If you drive a flying car, you can go anywhere very fast!
Many people are very interested in the car and 40 people have already ordered it. The price of the car will be more than 200 million won. It’s very expensive! Let’s hope the scientists will invent a cheaper one soon!

IF I WERE A BOY : BEYONCE

If I were a boy
even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
and throw on what I wanted and go

Drink beer with the guys
and chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
and I'd never get confronted for it
cause they stick up for me

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man
I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it's broken
so they'd think that I was sleeping alone

I’d put myself first
and make the rules as I go
Cause I know that she’ll be faithful,
waiting for me to come home, to come home.

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man
I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

It's a little too late for you to come back
Say it's just a mistake,
think i'd forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
you thought wrong

man:you know when you act like that i dont think you realize how it makes me look or feel
Beyonce: act like what yo why you so jealous aint like im sleepin with tha guy
beyonce:what
man:what... (laughs)
i said why you so jealous aint like im sleeping with the girl
But you're just a boy
You don't understand
and you don't understand, ohhhh
How it feels to love a girl
Someday you wish you were a better man
You don't listen to her
You don't care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
Cause you're taking her for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

But you're just a boy

ASAHI Air Cooler and Ionizer

I bought this air cooler last week for the living room.
I just hope that it will hel lower our electricity bill
because we'll lessen the use of the air conditioner at day time.
In this case, we just have to make ice so that we could put into it
whenever we want the air it produces cooler than a regular fan.
Dan's first question upon learning that I bought an Asahi air cooler was ..aren't you wasting money for that?
( I just hope NOT!)
Who is on her right mind to want her money be wasted.
In fact, I was just trying to help in one way or another lessen the electricity bill at home.

Havaianas I have

These are the flip-flops I got for now.
From top left: the logo purple jelly, the yummy orange, the garden, slim gold and slim silver.
At first , I was so hesitant in purchasing one because I didn't find it appealing to get a pair of these cutie slippers.
And there were a lot of imitations I see everywhere. So, I said how should I know if the one I was wearing was an authentic havs or not...
But after getting a pair of it and tried myself the comfort of using one...the heck with those imitations..I don't care. As long as I got my original havaianas...
Well, I am still planning (contemplating a lot) if I 'll buy the limited edition of havainas I saw in Rustan's before... It was AWESOME!
Give me a two weeks to decide, okay!? hahaha
I'll keep you all posted.
